"Seminar on Parenting Children with Disabilities"

In collaboration with the Sorority of Thomasian Doctors, headed by Dra Chie Montales, Dra. Maya Caja, and Dra Lizette Pontanilla, Birthright conducted a seminar last November 24, 2024 at the Parkhomes Covered court from 2:00 to 6:00 pm. The seminar aimed to encourage and inform parents how to give their children with disabilities nutritious and natural food to foster good health among children.
Dr. Lyca Hilario from the Sorority of Thomasian Doctors discussed “Proper Nutrition for children with disabilities.” Many parents‘ questions were answered during the discussion. The parents were also given a demo on baking bread by Dra. Lizette Pontanilla. The gathering turned out like a Christmas party as the families of 96 children with disabilities who attended were given advance Christmas gifts with oats and milk and other nutritious foods. Diapers were also given to children with cerebral palsy. 96 parents and 96 children with disabiliites came while 27 guests from the sorority and Birthright staff attended the event.
"Physical Therapy Treatment and Home program"
November, 2024 every Monday, Thursday, and Friday
Birthright’s Community worker, Marinela Kaabay and Physical therapist, Samuelle Marie del Rosario visited children with cerebral palsy at their homes every Monday, Thursday, and Friday for the whole month of November to check on the development of the children and to follow up on the mothers’ program on exercising their children. This is to sustain the PT program of the children who are bedridden and to improve the children’s mobility so they can attend school when they reach 6 years old.
"Children's Coloring and Painting Contest"

To encourage creative expression., promote social interaction and develop confidence and resilience among children with disabilities, a painting contest was held last November 22, 2024 at SM Center Muntinlupa in partnership with Muntinlupa Persons with Disabilities Affairs Office and Social Services department. The affair was participated by 27 children from 4 to 6 years old and 18 children with disabilities, ages 7 to 15. Winners were picked out with the First place winning 5 thousand pesos and second place, three thousand pesos and two thousand pesos for third prize. Prizes were donated by the Sorority of Thomasian doctors.
