Each organization then   introduced their specific officers and from each position, the officers were elected by silent voting.
A working group was formed made up of all officers of the three different parents organizations to work for advocacy and promotion of rights of children with disabilities. The following are the newly elected officers of the Federation;

Three parents' organizations were invited to Birthright to organize the Federation of Organizations of Parents for Children with Disabilities (FOPCD). 22 parent officers from three organizations which came together as a working group to form a Federation of Organizations of Parents of Children with Disabilities were; The Muntinlupa Down Syndrome Association (MDSA), The Muntinlupa Parents of Children with Cerebral Palsy Association (MPCCPA), and The Parents of Children with Learning, Psycho-social, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (PCLPID).


Teacher Miriam del Rosario discussed with the parents the different mandates on disabilty like the Magna Carta for the Disabled. Republic Acts, 7277, 10524, 9442, 10754, and 11650. 

The Birthright faculty and staff during the Commencement Exercises.The commencement exercises brought to attention the talent and the academic capability of students with disabilities. Three government agencies were represented among the guests.- the City Council, the Social Services and the Persons with Disabilities Affairs Office (PDAO).
The program was graced by Muntinlupa Councilor Jedidiah Presnedi and Social Services Department Head, Ms. Analyn Mercado and PDAO personnels.

Birthright held its Commencement Exercises in collaboration with Persons with Disabilities Office and SM Center, Muntinlupa where the event was held.  237 parents with their children participated in the event. 8 CWD graduated in the Reading Readiness program, 12 CWD graduated in the Phonetic Reading program, and 6 children graduated in the elementary school program. 45 CWD were promoted to a higher grade in the elementary program.

Executive Director Miriam del Rosario was invited to speak in its partner organization, Muntinlupa Youth Advocates’ general assembly at the City Hall Audio Visual Conference room.  She talked about the History of Disability which entertwined with the history of the LGBTQR history and challenged the youths to advocate more for the equality of right of youths with disabilities. 52 youths participated in the general assembly, 10 of whom were officers of an organization of youths with disabilities. 
All officers agreed to make a general letter to the Mayor of Muntinlupa to discuss scholarships and other benefits for their children. They will make an appointment with the Mayor of our city.
